We are looking for an Assembly Operator III to join our team. This position will be a full-time contract and on-site in Fairview, North Carolina. Weekend work only: Friday-Saturday-Sunday 12-hour shift 7am-7pm This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee. What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for the safe operation of assigned high-speed large-scale automated assembly machines
- Make complex repairs and major adjustments to assembly equipment, including set-ups and changeovers
- Perform quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP) and document specified measurements per print at required intervals
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance
- Perform tooling adjustment, such as sharpening/conditioning, checking height of spring-loaded pins, keying features, bend stations, insertion stations
- Replace sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.
- Adjust housing feed based on associated standards
- Use height indicator, ram optic, gauges, and microscopic visual checks
- Identify and re-set machine faults, clear jams, restart production, and remove and package finished products
What You'll Need: Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Minimum of 2 years of combined job-related vocational training and relevant work experience
- Requires judgment and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks
Preferred:
- May require external certification in some disciplines
Physical Demands:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
- Regularly required to wear steel toe shoes

Requirements
- Proven work experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role
- Good eye-hand coordination to construct small parts and pieces into a final product
- The ability to use various hand tools to produce a final product
- Ability to follow instructions and diagrams as delivered for each product
- High school diploma and related training preferred
