Part-Time Bookkeeper – Real Estate Law Firm

Hybrid (Hingham, MA) – Part-time – Flexible Hours (10–20 hours/week)

About Us
Valanzola Law Group is a busy, well-established real estate law firm handling residential and commercial transactions throughout Massachusetts. We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to assist with reconciliations, disbursement tracking, and compliance reporting for our growing closing practice.

Responsibilities

Reconcile operating and IOLTA/trust accounts monthly
Record and track real estate disbursements, deposits, and wire transfers
Maintain accurate closing ledgers and ensure compliance with IOLTA and REBA requirements
Prepare and file Massachusetts DOR forms and IRS 1099-S filings
Generate financial summaries and assist CPA with year-end reconciliation
Maintain organized and audit-ready electronic financial records

Qualifications

2+ years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a law firm or real estate closing office
Proficiency in Qualia Real Estate Software required (or similar title/escrow accounting platform)
Solid understanding of trust accounting and escrow fund management
Exceptional accuracy, organization, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment

Schedule

Part-time, 10–20 hours per week
Flexible schedule (remote/hybrid)

Compensation
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
