Job Description

The Cedars is looking for full-time and part-time Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) to join our team!

Full-time shifts available: Days (6:00am - 2:00pm)
Part-time shifts available: Days (6:00am - 6:00pm) or Evenings (2:00pm - 10:00pm)

 

Required Education:

• Registered with the state of Kansas as a Certified Nurse Aide and/or Medication Aide
• High School diploma or GED equivalent

Required Experience:

• Experience providing direct care and assistance to residents in a healthcare setting
• Experience complying with state regulations in healthcare
• Experience assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Experience maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Experience with light housekeeping, food service, and laundry (preferred)

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to lift, pull, or carry 50 pounds
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle emergencies effectively
• Knowledge of basic infection control principles and practices
• Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency protocols
• Ability to document care accurately and timely
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminals back ground check.
