Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced  Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to provide visionary leadership and strategic oversight of all clinical programs across our assisted living and memory care communities. The CCO will serve as the organization’s top clinical executive—driving excellence in resident care, compliance, and clinical outcomes while fostering a culture of compassion, integrity, and continuous improvement.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all clinical and quality initiatives across multiple assisted living communities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical standards, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Partner with Operations, Human Resources, and Compliance teams to strengthen care delivery, staffing models, and training programs.
  • Lead quality improvement efforts to enhance resident outcomes, reduce risk, and promote high levels of resident and family satisfaction.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and advisor to Executive Directors, Regional Nurses, and Community Health Directors.
  • Oversee clinical audits, surveys, and incident management to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a culture of professional development, engagement, and accountability among clinical staff.
  • Analyze clinical metrics and trends to inform data-driven decision-making and organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on clinical budgeting, policy development, and strategic planning.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, with eligibility for multistate licensure preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive clinical leadership experience , including 5+ years in a leadership role within assisted living, long-term care, or post-acute healthcare.
  • Deep understanding of state regulations governing assisted living, memory care, and related healthcare services.
  • Proven success in driving quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across multiple sites.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
