Compliance and Contract Specialist

trak group is partnering with a national leader in controlled environment agriculture and engineering solutions to hire a Compliance and Contract Specialist . This hybrid role is ideal for a paralegal with a background in construction or engineering who thrives in fast-paced environments and is well-versed in contract review, project compliance, and licensing requirements .

You’ll work cross-functionally with legal, operations, and finance teams—handling everything from subcontractor compliance and lien paperwork to license renewals and vendor documentation. This role was opened due to internal advancement, making it a prime opportunity for someone ready to grow.

What You’ll Do

• Track and renew contractor licenses across multiple states
• Manage subcontractor and vendor compliance, including insurance, COIs, and certifications
• Alert project teams when vendors fall out of compliance
• Prepare lien documents and manage filing workflows using internal tools
• Support accounts receivable follow-up and lien-related documentation
• Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, MSAs, and Certificates of Authority
• Assist with business license renewals and closeout documentation
• Keep contract and project data updated in systems like Procore
• Review and redline contracts for key risk areas (warranty, indemnity, liability, etc.)
• Coordinate with legal counsel on contract edits and approvals
• Support change orders, reporting, and project tracking
• Handle admin tasks such as document filing, data entry, and compliance reports
• Step in on special projects and assist teams as needed

What You Bring

• Paralegal certification required
• 5+ years of experience working with construction contracts, project compliance, or a similar industry (engineering experience acceptable)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Procore, and Bluebeam
• Strong technical reading and writing skills for contracts and manuals
• Highly organized and self-motivated with strong follow-through
• Comfort reviewing specifications and legal language within project documentation
