This is a hybrid role located at our Walnut Creek, CA Corporate HQ. The salary range for this role is: $116,929.50 - $198,718.50

Responsibilities:

Manage insights development for Del Monte’s Center Of Store Vegetable & Tomato products, partnering with cross-functional teams to profitably grow both established and new businesses. Leverage a full range of insight-generating tools/methods to provide actionable consumer insights that guide business strategies, facilitate better business decisions, and solve business challenges. Collaborate on the development of a robust pipeline of innovation opportunities, and well-executed launches. Partner with Category Insights and Customer Strategy to identify opportunities to leverage insights in customer conversations. Simultaneously manage multiple projects with multiple partner teams.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to identify critical business questions, determine optimal research solutions, manage research execution, oversee analysis, and deliver actionable recommendations which reflect a thorough understanding of broader business context and implications.
  • Design research which reflects priority needs and key decision criteria. Apply creative approaches which amplify learning. As appropriate, leverage traditional best-practice methodological approaches as well as new, emerging techniques. Leverage a combination supplier partners and agile platform tools to conduct research.
  • Design research plans which reflect a balanced understanding of stage-gate requirements and needed agility, applying appropriate level of rigor given associated risk.
  • Provide thought leadership guided by objective insights and consumer perspective. Champion understanding and application of consumer learning.
  • Ensure projects are designed to provide maximum business value, are fiscally prudent, and aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Partner with HQCI to identify opportunities to better leverage our insights in Customer conversations. As warranted, manage custom Shopper Insights projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 5+years’ experience in custom research; previous market research supplier, syndicated research and innovation experience a plus (Non-CPG experience will be considered)
  • Demonstrated experience with qualitative and quantitative research technique including concept, product, advertising, and package testing, brand tracking, awareness and usage, and segmentation analyses.
  • Ability to manage and get the best out of outside vendors who will execute market research and general consultation projects.
  • Prior use or familiarity of agile DIY research platforms
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to modify content to reflect audience needs.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills; able to listen, interpret, and influence.
  • Ability to tell a story, pulling from multiple data sources to build a deeper, holistic understanding.
  • Comfortable championing a strong, consumer-centric point of view
