As a Tax Accountant you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing various aspects of the tax compliance needs, with a focus on their excise tax filings. Your responsibilities will include assisting and auditing complex tax returns, providing strategic tax planning advice, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. This role requires a high level of expertise in tax accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance:
• Assist in ensuring accurate and timely filing of corporate tax returns.
• Stay up-to-date with tax regulations, including excise tax laws, and implement necessary changes in compliance procedures.
• Excise Tax Management:
• Expertise in excise tax calculations and compliance.
• Monitor and report on excise tax liabilities and ensure timely payments.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to corporate taxes.
• Provide insights into tax implications on financial statements.
• Research and Analysis:
• Conduct tax research to stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Analyze tax implications for business transactions and provide recommendations.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with internal teams, including finance and legal, to ensure tax compliance in various business activities.
• Collaborate with external auditors during tax audits.
• Stakeholder Advisory:
• Provide guidance to clients or internal stakeholders on tax planning strategies.
• Assist in developing and implementing tax-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax accounting.
• Strong understanding of excise tax regulations and compliance.
• Proficient in NetSuite and financial management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
