Hewn, a nationally recognized and independently-owned artisan bakery in Evanston, Illinois, is looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver & Packer to join our growing team. What You'll Do:
This isn't just a driving job—it's a crucial role in bringing our delicious baked goods to our loyal customers! You'll be responsible for:
Carefully packing our freshly baked breads and pastries.
Efficiently loading/unloading our delivery van
Safely delivering orders to our locations in Winnetka and Libertyville (two runs per shift)
Helping the Front of House as needed while providing excellent customer service.
What We're Looking For:
We need someone who is dependable, highly organized, and thrives in early mornings. This role requires:
Early morning availability, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM.
Weekend availability, including at least one driving shift on Sundays.
ServSafe Food Handlers and Allergen certification.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
The ability and willingness to drive a small delivery van.
Customer service and retail experience.
The ability to lift 40 lbs.
Basic computer skills (for printing invoices and interpreting orders).
A positive, energetic attitude and strong attention to detail.
The ability to multitask and work seamlessly within a team.
