Description A local private estate is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated
Estate Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, safety, and presentation of a private estate’s buildings, systems, and grounds. About The Role The Estate Maintenance Manager is responsible for directing day-to-day maintenance operations, supervising staff and contractors, managing preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring that all estate facilities, vehicles, and grounds are properly cared for. This individual will play a key role in creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for the family, guests, and staff.
Key Responsibilities - Manage maintenance operations for estate facilities, systems, and equipment.
- Lead and supervise maintenance staff, groundskeepers, and contractors.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and inspections for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
- Manage landscaping, irrigation, pools, water/fire features, and seasonal property needs.
- Oversee estate vehicle care, scheduling, and maintenance.
- Serve as primary contact for emergency repair response.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with the House Manager and household staff to address property needs.
- Manage budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a private estate, luxury residential, or hospitality environment strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic office technology.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and handling tools/equipment.
- Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call emergency response.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism (NDA required).
