Job Description


Summary

Administrative generalist position in a Head Start Organization whose area of concentration will include but are not limited to Personnel records management and Staff Professional Development Training Coordination and Follow-up.

Duties

Perform general administrative tasks related to HR:
  • Prepare and maintain personnel files
  • Create Yearly training for staff utilizing Bright From the Start and Head Start guidelines
  • Perform recruitment tasks that include placing job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting interviews with applicable content area staff.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation, Prepare and maintain personnel tracking sheets for all staff.
  • Assist with planning/implementation of employee pre-service and in-service training events.
  • Maintain staff personnel files and perform necessary updates as needed to keep all files up to date.
  • Implement and/or administer department procedures to assure that appropriate information is maintained, tracked, updated and reported as needed to comply with federal, state and local employment laws
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Early Childhood Education Administration or in a related field with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Professional demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Well organized; ability to manage multiple projects/priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze data.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Working Knowledge of Child Plus.net Reports
  • Ability to be creative and use good judgment
  • Ability to be a team player
