Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Travel Position Location: Harrisburg, PA (Correctional Facility) Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 3×12 Days (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | 36/48 Rotation Pay: $1,744.20/week (plus $1,100 completion bonus per contract, up to $3,300 after three contracts) Position Summary ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for an 8-week travel assignment at a correctional facility in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The LPN/LVN will provide quality nursing care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring safe medication administration, timely medical responses, and compliance with facility policies. This position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and prior correctional nursing experience. Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections accurately and document per policy.
• Respond promptly to inmate sick calls and assess medical concerns or symptoms.
• Assist in managing chronic and acute conditions in accordance with established nursing standards.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting significant findings to supervising staff.
• Coordinate with correctional and healthcare teams to maintain safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate patient charts, medication logs, and health records.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols.
• Support grievance resolution when related to medical concerns, missed medications, or appointments.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania LPN license (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of correctional or clinical experience within the last 5 years, 1 year within the last 3 years, or current experience within the past year (required).
• Corrections experience required – no new graduates.

* Required Certification (AHA):

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a secure environment.
• Must pass facility-required security clearance and background screening.
• Proof of recent tuberculosis (TB) test required.
