Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Hotel)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our hotel facilities, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for our guests and staff. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections and ensure maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, and other systems within the hotel.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from both staff and guests.
- Coordinate with external contractors for larger repairs and projects when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including materials used.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Collaborate with hotel management to assess long-term maintenance needs and suggest improvements.
- Manage inventory of repair supplies and tools, ordering new materials as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Ability to perform minor repairs on furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Vocational training or a relevant certification in building maintenance is preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
