We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join this team as an Optometric/Medical Technician (no previous optometry experience required) at this thriving boutique optometric practice. You will perform preliminary testing and assist the optometrists in providing exceptional patient care. No experience is required as training will be provided. If you are willing to learn and want to provide the best patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of preliminary tests, such as measuring visual acuity, performing ocular screenings, and using specialized equipment for diagnostic purposes under the supervision of an optometrist.
• Greet patients warmly, gather medical history, and address any questions or concerns they may have regarding their visit.
• Support the optometrists during eye examinations by preparing the examination room, assisting with equipment, and documenting findings.
• Educate patients about eye health, vision care, and suitable eyewear options, providing them with the necessary information to make informed decisions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is updated in accordance with practice policies and legal requirements.
• Keep optometric equipment clean, organized, and in good working order, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate effectively with other staff members to ensure efficient office operations and foster a positive team atmosphere.
