Responsibilities:
- Collecting blood samples from patients according to established procedures.
- Accurately labeling and handling blood specimens for transport to the laboratory.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals (nurses, physicians, etc.).
- Using electronic health record systems (Epic and Beaker preferred).
- Potential to float between sister facilities within the hospital system.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license in California.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience (first-time travelers will be screened).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Epic and Beaker electronic health record systems.
Special Considerations:
- Potential to float to sister facilities.
- Facility allows one call-off per two-week pay period.
