Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C)/Nurse Practitioner to join our orthopedic team with a focus on total joint replacement (hip and knee). The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff to deliver comprehensive care for patients undergoing total joint arthroplasty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preoperative evaluations and medical optimization for total joint patients
• First assist in the operating room during total hip and knee replacement surgeries
• Perform inpatient hospital rounding, discharge planning, and postoperative follow-up
• Manage outpatient clinic including new patient evaluations, postoperative visits, and routine follow-up care
• Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures, recovery, rehabilitation, and medication
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, MRI's, and lab work
• Prescribe medications and physical therapy as appropriate
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as applicable
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the EMR system

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• NCCPA certification (for PAs) or board certification as an NP (FNP/AGACNP preferred)
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority
• Previous orthopedic or surgical experience preferred, especially in joint replacement
• BLS/ACLS certification
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
