### About the Role
A leading healthcare system in North Carolina is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join its data analytics team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and integrity of FHIR-based content within the organization's Enterprise Analytics Platform. You will oversee quality assurance for data pipelines and REST APIs developed by the Data Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to healthcare innovation while working with cutting-edge data analytics and cloud-based technologies.
### What You'll Do
- Ensure Data Quality - Design, collect, analyze, and report on data quality assurance and production performance metrics.
- Maintain Data Standards - Define and document data quality standards, definitions, and models.
- Identify and Resolve Data Issues - Detect inconsistencies, document patterns, and provide solutions for data integrity.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis - Investigate data issues and recommend quality controls to enhance data accuracy.
- Provide QA Oversight - Monitor data flows, APIs, and ensure compliance with best practices.
- Collaborate with Agile Teams - Participate in Scrum story refinement, estimation, and sprint-based testing.
- Automate Testing - Work with DevOps teams to automate test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure Best Practices - Contribute to coding standards, error handling, logging, and documentation.

- Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB (Azure)
- Data Processing & ETL: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines
- Healthcare Data Standards: FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)
- Stream Processing: NextGen Mirth, Spark Streaming
- Programming & Scripting: Python, Java
- API & Web Development: RESTful APIs
- Cloud Platforms: Azure Synapse
### What We're Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data QA Analyst
- Strong understanding of data quality principles and implementation strategies
- Experience testing data transformations, structures, metadata, and workflows
- Hands-on experience with API automation testing
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and data integration
- Strong SQL skills with experience in advanced data querying
- Healthcare IT experience with a focus on clinical data
- Familiarity with Python development
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Azure Databricks experience
- Understanding of predictive modeling techniques
- Knowledge of open-source software solutions
- Experience with FHIR implementation
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience
### Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
