A growing manufacturer is hiring their next Quality Manager to oversee their new, air-conditioned GMP regulated plant.  Daily, you will report to the Sr. Manager of Quality and will lead an established quality engineering team across three shifts.  You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Lead a team by training, coaching, and developing quality staff to meet their full potential and support organizational objectives

• Drive quality initiatives by overseeing continuous improvement efforts and implementing a culture of excellence

• Manage quality systems by maintaining and improving product and process standards, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulations

• Act as a liaison for the company on quality issues with both suppliers and customers

• Analyze and report on key performance indicators and quality data to support strategic goals

• Ensure compliance with all internal, external, and regulatory requirements

• Other duties as directed by management 

Candidates should be passionate about improving quality, be flexible with job duties, be able to take constructive criticism, able to lead teams, enjoy spending time on the manufacturing floor and be able to "get people on board" with change-agent ideas. REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Manager:
1. A Bachelor's degree is preferred; a high school diploma is required 
2. At least 5-10 years of experience in a similar quality management position
3. Experience working in GMP regulated manufacturing environments 
4. Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions 
5. Experience serving as the point of contact for customers 
6. Experience overseeing others 
7. Strong documentation skills, including excellent written communication skills 
8. Microsoft Office, including Excel 

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Internal and/or external auditing 
2. Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications 
3. Chemistry or biology background
