ReachTech is building Jackson — an AI companion for families, named after a real three-legged dog who was loyal, loving, and genuinely happy to help.
We need a 3D character artist to bring Jackson to life as a real-time animated character capable of:
- Expressive facial animation (lip sync to speech)
- Warm, approachable presence
- Emotional range (happy, attentive, concerned, playful)
THE CHARACTER:
- Three-legged German Shepherd mix (we have extensive photo reference)
- Brindle coat with tan markings
- Compact build (Brittany Spaniel sized)
- Blue collar with yellow tag
- Amber eyes — kind, intelligent, attentive
DELIVERABLES:
- High-quality 3D model optimized for real-time rendering
- Facial rig with blend shapes for phoneme-based lip sync
- Basic body rig (head tilts, ear movement, tail wag, sitting, lying down)
- Unity or Unreal compatible
STYLE:
- Stylized realism — think Pixar/Disney warmth, not photorealistic
- Must feel huggable, trustworthy, emotionally present
- This character will be seen by families for years — quality matters
This is the first step toward an animated avatar, a physical stuffed companion, and eventually a robotic version. You'd be creating the foundational design for something intended to last generations.
