The Opportunity

Research Associate I, Mammalian cell line banking
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate I to support the centralized cell banking and distribution team for Research and Development. Our mission consists in expanding, banking, performing QC, characterizing and distributing cell lines and advanced cell models, including organoids and iPSCs, for our research colleagues. The ideal candidate will have experience in culturing a variety of cell lines. Having in-depth experience with molecular and biochemical techniques is required. The candidate will be expected to frequently interact and communicate with other groups as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

• BS/MS in life sciences
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture for 2 years or more
• Adept with PCR, biochemical assays, DNA & RNA extraction
• Familiar with LIMS and proficient with database maintenance

Preferred experience:

• Knowledge of iPSC & organoid propagation, cell engineering, FACs, IF staining, automation for liquid and cell handling is highly desirable.

• DNA and RNA extractions for baseline characterization

Pay Rate Range: $20-26/hr depending on experience
