Job Description

Salary: $81,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship, due to agency and contract requirements.
• This position supports systems requiring 24x7x365 uptime, and candidates must be willing to participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to work onsite at the customer's discretion, particularly during the transition period. This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO.
• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience working as a system administrator on Linux or Red Hat systems is required. Related experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities:

• I will administer and maintain the RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
• My role will involve working on RHEL 7.x/8.x, performing system administration tasks like installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• I will monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• I am responsible for performing system backups and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data protection.
• I will evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and enhance the RHEL server environment.
• I am expected to create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• I will perform vulnerability scans using common scanning tools such as Tenable and Hp WebInspect.
• I will investigate security breaches, risks, and attacks, create mitigation plans, and implement proactive and retrospective solutions.
