Job Description

Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Stand-Up Forklift Operator for our long-time food production client in Ferndale.

Shift Details

3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am, Monday - Friday - Overtime is mandatory as production demands.

Compensation

$18 per hour with a $0.50 shift premium

Key Duties

• Retrieve supplies and materials by studying specifications, locating and verifying supplies, securing pallet on truck, and moving pallet to production location.
• Maintain inventory in the production area by anticipating and tracking usage.
• Monitor inventory by reporting discrepancies.
• Clear production area by securing and moving finished pallets and moving empty pallets.
• Document actions by logging movement of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
• Maintain a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic, following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
• Keep forklift operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplish warehousing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience operating a stand-up forklift / hi-lo, prior certifications preferred.
• Reliable attendance.
• Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not required.
• Safety-first mindset.
• Quality focus.
• Comfortable working in cold environments.
