Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will focus on preparing and reviewing individual and corporate tax returns while ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. Responsibilities: - Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with a high degree of accuracy. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. - Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software to efficiently manage tax preparation and filing processes. - Analyze financial data to identify potential tax-saving opportunities for clients. - Collaborate with team members to address complex tax issues and provide solutions. - Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance. - Conduct detailed reviews of financial documents and supporting materials for accuracy. - Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and explain tax-related matters. - Assist in resolving tax-related discrepancies or issues as they arise. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns. - Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. - Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax preparation software. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. - Effective communication skills for client interactions. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. - CPA certification or progress toward obtaining it is a plus.
