Job Description
Step into a transformative Travel Physical Therapist role in Kodiak, Alaska, beginning 01/19/2026, for a flexible assignment measured in weeks with the potential to extend. In this position you’ll apply your clinical expertise to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and reclaim independence, all while living and working in a community renowned for its rugged beauty, maritime culture, and resilient spirit. Picture days spent delivering high-impact care, collaborating with a dedicated team, and winding down with sunset over the water and the mountains as your backdrop. Kodiak’s unique blend of outdoor adventures—kayaking, hiking, fishing—and close-knit neighborhoods creates a rewarding balance between professional purpose and personal renewal.
Working in Kodiak offers more than a job; it provides a gateway to Alaska’s extraordinary landscape and a supportive healthcare network that understands the needs of travelers. You’ll enjoy the benefits of remote-work connectivity, opportunities to collaborate with specialists across the region, and the chance to broaden your clinical exposure across diverse populations. If you crave variety, this program also offers the option to work in other U.S. locations, expanding your professional horizons while retaining the structured support of a trusted travel partner. The island’s pace supports thoughtful patient education, meaningful outcomes, and a sense of belonging in a community that welcomes your expertise.
As a Physical Therapist in this travel program, you’ll assess patients, develop evidence-based treatment plans, implement therapeutic interventions, and monitor progress toward functional goals. You’ll address mobility limitations, balance, gait, strength, and therapeutic modalities, with opportunities to specialize in geriatrics, neuromuscular rehab, orthopedics, or pediatrics as caseloads permit. You’ll coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care and smooth transitions from hospital to home or clinic to community setting. The position emphasizes professional growth within the specialty through mentorship, continuing education credits, and exposure to a range of case types that broaden your skill set. Benefits include a competitive weekly pay of $1,951-$2,036, housing assistance, and an extension-friendly framework that supports ongoing collaboration if you and the project align. The program provides comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance for travelers, a dedicated travel support team, and streamlined processes for scheduling, housing, and travel logistics. Hours are not guaranteed, reflecting the nature of travel assignments, but your schedule will be determined in partnership with the site and the program. The organization values your dedication and offers a bonus opportunity to recognize exceptional performance and commitment to patient care.
Beyond the day-to-day tasks, our company is committed to empowering staff through clear career pathways, constructive feedback, and a supportive, inclusive environment that values your expertise. We foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration across disciplines, and leadership accessibility, so you can thrive both clinically and professionally while feeling valued for your contributions.
