Job Description
Seattle Children's is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to join our integrated regional care team in Olympia. This role is central to providing high-quality, coordinated medical care to our patients, working in close collaboration with attending physicians, nurses, subspecialty services, and the broader healthcare community.
**Job Description & Responsibilities**
The Pediatric Hospitalist Physician provides expert medical care within their assigned service area, focusing on seamless and coordinated patient care. Key responsibilities include:
+ **Clinical Care Coordination:** Providing direct medical care and ensuring effective coordination of care for patients in collaboration with attending physicians.
+ **Interdisciplinary Collaboration:** Fostering strong collaboration with nursing, pediatric and other medical and surgical subspecialty services, community physicians, and ancillary health team providers to optimize patient outcomes.
+ **Quality & Safety:** Ensuring the quality of all patient care and service, incorporating principles of patient-centered care and upholding rigorous quality standards.
+ **Organizational Integration:** Integrating services with Seattle Children's goals, vision, and philosophy.
**Required Education and Experience**
MD Degree.
Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children's, and assigned medical center(s).
**Required Credentials**
Licensed as a Physician in the State of Washington or State within WAMI region.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (Olympia, Skagit, St. Anne's, Seattle Children's NICU locations).
Federal DEA Registration.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of hire (only if required for special privileges).
Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.
**Preferred**
Experience in pediatric emergency medicine.
**Compensation Range**
$208,974 - $256,066 per year
*This position is eligible for relocation for qualified candidates.*
**Salary Information**
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
